Do I know Him?

Do I know Him?
He Knows Me!
Scripture
Mark 6:48-49 AMPC
[48]  And having seen that they were troubled and tormented in [their] rowing, for the wind was against them, about the fourth watch of the night [between 3:00-6:00 a.m.] He came to them, walking [directly] on the sea. And He acted as if He meant to pass by them, [49]  But when they saw Him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and raised a [deep, throaty] shriek of terror.

Reflection
Jesus saw that they were troubled, He was very much aware of the turmoil that they were going through. He is aware in deep detail how troubled we get as we live in this world, nothing about our lives catches Hom by surprise.
When He came, He acted as if He would pass by shows us that He is within our reach, we just need to recognize Him for who He is, lest our circumstances cause us to confuse Him for something else. When we receive Him into our boat, every situation calms down, He doesn't even have to say anything, His presence is enough to silence every storm.

Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your wisdom and You all knowing Presence. Nothing about us is hidden from You, every storm, every tide is visible to You no matter how far we have drifted from You. Help us not to focus on our circumstances, but to focus on You our Solution. Thank You for the peace that brings calm into our lives. Thank You Lord for indeed You love us and You gave Yourself up for us. Guide us today so that we can depend on You.
In Jesus name, amen.

Shalom ☕๐Ÿ’

What Drives You?

What Drives You? Have you ever paused to ask yourself, “What drives me?” Why do you do what you do? Why is it important to you? Is it your personal choice to do it? Take a moment to reflect on these questions. Our past shapes us, but it doesn’t have to dictate our future. God is a God of second chances and even third chances. He hasn’t given up on us; He is still pursuing even the one sheep missing from the pen. As 2 Peter 3:9 (NLT) reminds us:  “The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” Think about what truly motivates you. Is it a passion, a calling, or a sense of duty? Reflect on how God’s patience and grace have given you the opportunity to pursue your purpose. Embrace these second chances and move forward with renewed determination and faith. Action Point: This week, set aside some quiet time to journal about your motivations a...

Raising Children with Purpose: Parenting Through Obedience, Seasons, and Stewardship

“So David did as God commanded him...” – 1 Chronicles 14:16 (AMPC) Parenting is one of the most sacred and significant roles entrusted to us by God. It requires more than love and provision—it demands discernment, obedience, and a deep understanding of God’s timing and purpose. Through biblical reflection, we find timeless wisdom to guide us in stewarding our children well. In this article, this week we draw lessons from three foundational scriptures that highlight obedience, purpose, and financial wellness in parenting. 1. Obedience Is Not Optional  “So David did as God commanded him...” – 1 Chronicles 14:1 David's success in battle was not because he relied on past strategies but because he returned to God for direction each time. This highlights a profound truth: God does not always repeat patterns, even if they previously worked. Parenting, likewise, requires fresh instruction from God for each child, because each child carries a unique blueprint. No two children ar...
