The Beauty of Brokenness

# The Beauty of Brokenness
The last two weeks, especially this week we are ending has been very trying for Kenya. It has tested our core fabric as a society and through it we are learning and learning to unlearn that which we learnt before.
Every change carries with it a rainbow 🌈, there is always hope as long as we are alive. We should never loose this hope no matter what seeks to steal it.
As we take time to rest and rejuvenate, we also take time to reflect on what has been and seek to see what can be. The brokenness is never wasted, a seed planted will grow. We can choose to focus on the pain or fix our eyes on the hope of what can be.
It's time to get renewed 🌱
## 1. Broken Soil Yields a Crop
In agriculture, we witness the miracle of growth. But before a bountiful harvest, the soil must be broken—tilled, turned, and prepared. Similarly, our hearts and minds need to be cultivated, sometimes through trials and challenges. These broken moments allow us to grow, learn, and produce fruit in our lives.
## 2. Rain from Broken Clouds
Clouds gather moisture, and when they break, rain falls. Rain nourishes the earth, replenishing rivers, lakes, and crops. Likewise, our tears—the emotional rain—can be healing. When we face adversity, our brokenness allows compassion, empathy, and understanding to flow. It softens our hearts and connects us to others.
## 3. Broken Grain Becomes Bread
Grain must be ground, crushed, and transformed into flour before it becomes bread. Similarly, our struggles and challenges refine us. They shape our character, breaking down our pride and self-sufficiency. When we embrace humility, we become vessels for nourishing others, just as bread sustains our bodies.
## 4. Strength from Broken Bread
Think of the breaking of bread during communion—a symbol of Christ’s sacrifice. In our brokenness, we find strength. When we share our vulnerabilities, we create bonds with others. Our scars become testimonies, and our weaknesses become sources of resilience. Brokenness doesn’t weaken us; it empowers us to endure and uplift others.
## 5. The Fragrance of Broken Alabaster
The alabaster box, once broken, releases its precious perfume. Similarly, our brokenness can lead to transformation and beauty. When we surrender our brokenness to God, He turns it into something fragrant—a testimony of His grace and redemption.
## Conclusion
Embrace your brokenness, for within it lies the potential for growth, compassion, nourishment, strength, and beauty. As Vance Havner wisely said, “It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume.” May our brokenness become a sweet fragrance in the lives of others, inspiring hope and healing. 🌱🌧️🍞

A Higher Calling: Embracing Purpose

# Embracing Purpose: A Journey of Faith and Fulfillment You are not an accident! Every aspect of who I am is designed for a purpose. As Albert Einstein once said, "God doesn't play dice." God created me with intention, and only He can guide me to fulfill that purpose. I am alive today for a reason, and I seek to understand the role I am meant to play in the grand puzzle of life. Prayer  Lord, I don't want to miss out on the plan You have for me and end up going in circles. Show me where I am stagnating and how I should break camp and advance forward. I believe that I have all that I need to accomplish what I was created for. You have packaged everything for my purpose within me, and I don't need to look for it elsewhere. Your love is focused on me, and You have made everything for my enjoyment. #Action Points: 1. Reflect and Pray: Spend time in prayer and reflection, asking God to reveal areas where you might be stagnating and seeking His guidance on h...

What is life?

How We Define Life Determines Our Destiny Anchor Scripture  James 4:14 NKJV Whereas you do not know what will  happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.  What is life? I see life as a garden beaming with various elements, both valuable like fruits and vegetables and some not so valuable, like weeds and pests. Character is the seed planted in my garden. How I take care of it determines the fruit it will produce. The changes in the weather, the quality of soil, and even the frequency of rainfall play major roles in the growth or lack of growth in my character. Everything that happens in my garden is important. Any weed infestation will lower the quality of my yield, and how I respond to it will also affect the harvest. Every day is an important day in my garden; every second counts because growth happens behind the scenes. Every drop of water or fertilizer plays a significant role in the gar...

What Drives You?

What Drives You? Have you ever paused to ask yourself, “What drives me?” Why do you do what you do? Why is it important to you? Is it your personal choice to do it? Take a moment to reflect on these questions. Our past shapes us, but it doesn’t have to dictate our future. God is a God of second chances and even third chances. He hasn’t given up on us; He is still pursuing even the one sheep missing from the pen. As 2 Peter 3:9 (NLT) reminds us:  “The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” Think about what truly motivates you. Is it a passion, a calling, or a sense of duty? Reflect on how God’s patience and grace have given you the opportunity to pursue your purpose. Embrace these second chances and move forward with renewed determination and faith. Action Point: This week, set aside some quiet time to journal about your motivations a...
